What I love about this piece
There is something romantic about forgotten fence lines. They represent a past still standing strong. I love the brighter green colors in “Forgotten Fences.” It’s a tribute to the lush summer time trees and grasses. I love the little grey rain cloud beginning to form one of those quick afternoon summer showers. And this one has texture, texture, texture!! Lots of history on this canvas with layers of paint creating the perfect summer feeling.
“Then followed that beautiful season…. Summer… filled was the air with a dreamy and magical light; and the landscape lay as if new created in all the freshness of childhood.”
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
